Maulele Earrings
Description
Maulele is the Hawaiian word for flotsam and jetsom, basically anything washed ashore by the ocean.
These Maulele Earrings are a modern take on the traditional styles of Niʻihau jewelry. Funny enough, making jewelry in this original style is how I got started making jewelry in the first place some 30 years ago.
- Authentic Hawaiian momi (dove) shells found on Oʻahu
- Tied in the pīkake style with a pop of neon cord
- Mounted onto a freshwater keshi pearl
- 14k gold filled stud & peg with 14k gold/silicone clutch earnuts
