Maulele Earrings

Maulele is the Hawaiian word for flotsam and jetsom, basically anything washed ashore by the ocean.

These Maulele Earrings are a modern take on the traditional styles of Niʻihau jewelry.  Funny enough, making jewelry in this original style is how I got started making jewelry in the first place some 30 years ago.

• Authentic Hawaiian momi (dove) shells found on Oʻahu
• Tied in the pīkake style with a pop of neon cord
