wan·der·lust - pt 1

wan·der·lust  -  /ˈwändərˌləst/
Definition: a strong desire to travel.
Growing up on an island that is only 44 miles long and 30 miles wide, I developed the overwhelming urge to travel, see other places and experience other cultures, especially International destinations.
Don't get me wrong, I love my home in Hawaii.  I truly think it's the best place in the world.....but it has changed....A LOT since I was a child.
As cosmopolitan as our society is, it's still a very insulated culture.
After all, Hawaii is the most isolated place on earth being 2500 miles from the nearest landmass.
I've been fortunate to do a fair bit of traveling over the past 10 years.
I lived in Australia for 6 years and have traveled extensively in France and Spain, in addition to many travels in the US.
I've vacationed in New Zealand, Fiji, Japan, but one of my long time dreams was to experience Tahiti.
In September of 2019, I finally got to fulfil my Tahitian dreams with a few of my favorite gal-pals.
In light of the global pandemic of COVID-19, right now, most of us can only dream of faraway travels.....I thought I'd share a few of my favorite memories of this trip to inspire you to wanderlust....
