Moʻo akua Choker

Legends from Old Hawaii often tell of the Moʻo (lizard like Gods) that lived near bodies of freshwater.

Most often female, they masqueraded as humans and were said to have immense beauty. These deities are the fascinating creatures honored in the Moʻo akua Choker.

Fine green opal discs are combined with baroque white pearls and meet in the middle with a gold vermeil medallion.
