Kānewai (waters of Kāne) spring and fishpond are one of the remaining freshwater springs and shoreline fishponds in Honolulu.
Thankfully, it is registered on the State of Hawaiiʻs Historic Register thanks to the hard work of many organizations and individuals helping to preserve this wahipana (place of significance).
